Computer, iPad/Tablet, iPhone/Android Phone Tutoring for Adults (and Kids)
Welcome to my Website!
Although I am very experienced with computers and technology it hasn’t been that long since I was a rookie, too. I take pride in the fact that I first touched a computer in 1987 the same year that my first child was born. Both the day my son was born and the day we received an IBM PS 25 at work changed my world forever. Ever since I’ve loved being a parent AND have loved learning computers and new technology alongside my children, alone and in the workplace. I live and breath computers and have LOVED helping others work with computers ever since.
My experience in teaching computer skills is very broad. I’ve taught computer class at a high poverty elementary school to K-6 students, their parents and to the teachers.
I’ve helped students AND teachers with their computer needs in the Media Center at two large high schools.
I’ve taught parents, in-laws, relatives, neighbors, clients, etc. in person or via remote log in.
I am a POWER USER of computers, smart phones, tablets, LCD projectors, etc. but am a very understanding and patient teacher of those that are not so confident in their skills.
In addition to my practice experience, my formal education gives me a strong background to be an effective helper to you as you seek to learn almost any task. My degrees include:
- Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science
- Master’s Degree in Christian Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (cum laude) in Music Education
I live in Wilmington, N.C. where I am a high school Media Specialist during the day. I am available to provide computer tutor help from 4:30 – 10:00 Monday – Friday and most anytime on weekends and in the summer.
