Get a Messenger Code that can be scanned

Facebook recently introduced ‘Messenger Codes’ that allow you to easily share your ‘Messenger’ URL with others so that when they scan it (like a QR code) with their phone they will be able to message you directly. ┬áThe image could be used as your ‘profile pic’, put on your business card or Website, and emailed.

Here is how you do it…

  • Open the ‘Messenger’ app on your phone.
  • Look in the bottom right corner for ‘Me’ and click on it.
  • In the middle, you’ll see your ‘Username’ which is actually the URL for your ‘Messenger’ – m.me/____ (your Facebook name will appear after ‘m.me/’.
  • ABOVE THAT…Your profile picture should have a blue ‘wreath’ around it that is your ‘Messenger Code’
    • Click on your profile picture in the center to see three things –
      1. ‘My Code’ – your wreath/’Messenger Code’ profile pic
      2. ‘Scan Code’ – click that tab to ‘Scan (OTHERS’) Code’
      3. ‘Share’ button (arrow pointing up) – provides lots of ways to save, copy or share your code

Voila!┬áThat’s it!
