#1 tip – You don’t have to actually have to go to ‘Google’ to search – simply type your search terms in the URL field and click ‘go’.
‘I’m feeling lucky’ – If you search from Google and click on ‘I’m feeling lucky’ you will be sent directly to the #1 search result.
Use ” (quotation marks) ” before and after the search terms to restrict the search to that actual phrase or order of words rather than any Website simply containing both words.
Use – (minus sign) before a word to remove that word from the search results. Example: put a minus sign before Charlotte and hornets to get the insect and not the basketball team (-charlotte hornets) or (hornets -charlotte)
There is no need to type ‘the’, ‘of’, ‘and’, etc.
